Are fountains safe for pets?

Generally, water features are safe for pets with some care to ensure the water is safe for pets to drink since that's what they are going to want to do! 

Though the water treatments we carry do not list caution regarding dogs and cats ingesting treated water, it does carry warnings to humans, fish, and various other creatures. As fellow animal lovers, we recommend foregoing water treatments in order to prevent any potential harm to your pets. 

You may want to consider using distilled water to reduce/prevent the buildup of minerals. You can distill your own water for any fountain with the Adagio Water Distiller.
