Is it okay to leave the fountain runing all the time?

Yes, it's actually better to keep it running all the time so that the water doesn't become stagnant. 

If you will be gone for a long period of time, you might want to turn off the fountain and drain the water so that the water level doesn't drop below the pump and burn out your pump.
